President: Oona Marti
President2001@smith.alumnae.net
Oona works as a fundraiser for a nonprofit public affairs forum,
The Commonwealth Club, based in San Francisco. In her spare
time, she serves as an Annual Fund volunteer for Smith, soliciting
our classmates on behalf of the College. When Oona is not asking
people for money, you can find her volunteering with a local foster
child, spending time with her extended family, or thriftin’ all over the
Bay Area.

Class Officers
Co-Vice President : Alyssa Dion
vicepresident2001@smith.alumnae.net
Alyssa has spent the last six years living and working at ski areas
in sales, marketing and events; making it her career to bring
others to enjoy the beautiful New England winters on the slopes.
She has just decided to move to Saratoga Springs, NY with her
boyfriend and will be taking on a new challenge as the Director of
Sales for Saratoga Gaming and Raceway. Alyssa thinks that one
of the great parts about her career is the people.   Now and then,
previously on the mountain, or in her travels, she will bump into
Smithies.  Every time she meets another Smithie, she's always
impressed.  Keep it up.
Co-Vice President: Jess Mele
vicepresident2001@smith.alumnae.net
After working for 4 years in Boston, Jess finished her Master's
Degree in Education and headed west. Now she's putting it all
together as an Arts Education Administrator in San Francisco.
She misses the East Coast Smithies a lot, but found a new gang
in the Bay Area. Despite all the life transition, the only thing that
hasn't changed for her in the last year is the connection she has
with Smithies new and old. It doesn't matter who they are or how
they met – every time she meets a Smithie, she's found a good
friend (or at least a fun, kind of nerdy person).
Co-Secretary: Jessica Heinzelman
secretary2001@smith.alumnae.net
Jessica Heinzelman here and ready to serve as your Class of
2001 co-secretary.  You will be hearing from her for the next 5
years asking, begging and groveling for you to submit updates on
you and your Smith network. As for Jess, she recently left her
home in San Francisco and her life as a high-flying political
consultant to travel the world. She will be checking in at internet
cafes worldwide and is currently somewhere in Southeast Asia.
Her guilty pleasure is still singing Bette Midler classics at karaoke.
Co-Secretary: Dania Frank
updates@smith2001.com
After graduating Smith with a degree in Economics, Dania went
on to receive her Masters in Economics from Harvard University
and is currently working as a Community Relations Manager for
the San Francisco Bay Area for Enterprise Rent-A-Car.  As
Co-Secretary, she  responsible for maintaining the Smith2001
website. In Addition, Dania recently adopted a Shih-Tzu puppy
named Bailey and is trying very hard to fight the urge to become
one of those people who refers to her pet as her child.

Lisa is originally from the Albany, NY area but her mother grew up
in Ashland, Ma so attending Smith College felt like going home.

studying in Geneva, Switzerland, a once in a lifetime experience.
After a brief stint in Stowe, Vermont, sheI packed up and headed
